Reopening of the Belize International Airport (PGIA) Delayed.
Yesterday at a press conference held in Belize City, Prime Minister of Belize Hon. Dean Barrow announced that due to a spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in three districts and San Pedro island town, there will be a delay in the reopening of the Philip Goldson International Airport (PGIA) on August 15.
Prime Minister Hon. Dean Barrow said that although the Belize International Airport will not reopen on August 15th, the weekly repatriation flights for Belizean nationals abroad will continue, including the 14-day mandatory quarantine upon arriving in the country. The opening of the airport will be announced at a later date.
